So I have to tell you I saw this on the TV and tried it on a dare (ok well maybe it was more like curiosity took over) and I thought I would hate it. It truly sounded like one of the cravings a pregnant woman has. I have to say I really liked it. The combo of sweet and salty is something that I very much like. What I realized from this sandwich is I need to be more adventurous.
Don’t Knock It Until You Try It Sandwich
2 Slices of Bread
Butter or Margarine
Hazelnut Spread (I use Nutella)
½ Bananas
2 Bacon Strips
1. Fry the bacon strips. (I place mine in the microwave)
2. Cut banana in half. Once you have that done make enough pieces to fit in your sandwich bread.
3. Heat Fry Pan
4. Butter the bread on one side each (like you do for grilled cheese)
5. Add the hazelnut spread to one side of bread.
6. Add you Banana on top of the hazelnut spread.
7. Add your bacon slices on top of the bananas.
8. Top off with the last slice of buttered bread. (Make sure you have the buttered bread sides facing out so you can put them in the fry pan)
9. Grill in fry pan for about 2 min each side or until golden brown.
10. Enjoy with a glass of milk.
