So this new year has been a bit different for me. I normally do a vision board to go with my new year’s resolutions. This year I am mixing it up a bit. I did not make any resolutions. I have decided that I need to live in the moment more. I want to be more focused on taking the bull by the horns and making every day a time of resolution. I feel like that just like the new year is a fresh start ,this year I have decided that each new day is a fresh start. I have decided, that in my past that I have looked at things differently. The way I looked at resolutions always started out with the best intentions, however I had more failures that successes when it came to my resolutions. I even tried the resolution to not have not New Years resolutions but I missed them. It hit me the other day maybe it’s the way I have thought to do things based on the way I was raised , what this or that book said or that person does. This year each day will be a renewal and gift for me . I have a strategy to try to start the day positive and to maybe change my old way of looking at things that have not worked. I once heard a mom who was being interviewed after the Columbine shooting say something that stayed with me ( please do not hold me to quoting her exactly as it has been a while ago). She said something to the effect of what do we expect garbage in garbage out . We feed them garbage , they play games that are garbage and watch garbage . I have no idea as to why that has stayed with me. I have never it felt more that , this has become my life. What I watch on TV is garbage ( but I like it) and I eat garbage ( I love dinners out and sweets) . My goal is to work on what I put in my mind to be good , maybe challenging and positive. How will I do this. I have a plan for me.

1. I plan on reading more of the words written in red.

2. Devotions in the morning.
3. Read more official biographies or auto biographies of successful people.
4. I will have a faith journal and a every day journal
5. I will try to watch documentaries.
Since I have not been big on the documentaries I have found websites to help with finding them
http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/08/29/the-one-must-see-documentary/
http://current.com/shows/fifty-documentaries/
My plan is to write about the documentaries, and how they effected me as I watched them for my blog.
Do you make resolutions? If so how are they going so far?
Do you like documentaries? Do have any to suggest?
