Pumpkin French Toast With Apple Cider Syrup
Pumpkin French toast Ingredients
1 Cup Milk
½ cup of Half & Half
3 Eggs
½ cup Canned Pumpkin
¼ cup Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla
¼ teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
1 teaspoon of Cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Powder Sugar
1. Mix all ingredients
*** Use thick bread and dip bread in the mixture. You can even soak the bread over night if you want. ****
2 Heat 1 tablespoon of butter and one tablespoon (you can also a cooking spray) in a large non stick pan. Place bread slices in pan and cook each side for 2 -3 minutes or until golden brown. Dust with powder sugar.
Apple Cider Syrup
¼ Cup Sugar
2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
¼ teaspoon Cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground Nutmeg
2 Cups Apple Cider or Apple Juice
2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
¼ Cups Butter
Combine Sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg in saucepan. Pour in Apple Cider or juice and lemon juice. Cook and stir constantly until it thickens and comes to a boil. Boil for 1 minute and continue to stir. Remove from heat and stir in butter. Sever warm over French toast.
