The Accidental Bride by Denise Hunter lived up to my expectations. It is my opinion that Denise Hunter is a fabulous writer. I have never read a book she wrote that I did not like . I found this author through her book A Cowboy’s Touch ( A Big Sky Romance) . The Accidental Bride is book two in Hunter’s A Big Sky Romance however, don’t be scared to read this if you have not read the first book in the series, I feel that you can read the books out of order in this series so far. In the Accidental Bride (the title make me smile) you will meet Shay Brandenberger and Travis McCoy. They are the main character’s along the way you will meet the town of Moose Creek as well. Shay is determined to be independent as she raises her daughter alone. She has been burned by men in the past and she is done (really she is DONE!!) She is also trying to manage the family ranch and is finding it hard and the bank is now threatening to foreclose on it. Travis was Shay’s high school sweetheart who is a rodeo star. Shay is only trying to help when she becomes a pretend bride for the town’s Founder’s Day event where they perform a fake wedding (well maybe the preacher did not get that memo) . I so want to write more but I do not want to give this story away so I will stop here. This is a fun read it will make you laugh. This book is a Christian fiction and the message that is subtle but was loud and clear for me was don’t try to please people . Please God instead and do it always. I know this book is a romance , Christian and fiction but I feel even those who do not normally read Christian fiction will thoroughly enjoy this book especially if you like romance. I give this book FIVE STARS. It is such a enjoyable story it is a fast read that will leave you wanting a book three in this series. I did receive this book from Booksneeze in exchange for my review.
